Restoration

Paint Correction

The mechanical removal of swirls, holograms, oxidation, and light scratches — restoring the depth your paint had on day one.

Overview

What is paint correction?

Paint correction is the controlled removal of microscopic layers of clear coat using machine polishers and abrasive compounds. Done correctly, it eliminates swirl marks, water spots, oxidation, and light scratches — leaving glass-like clarity. Done incorrectly, it can permanently damage paint. We measure clear coat thickness throughout to ensure safe removal.

Why it matters

The case for doing it properly.

  • Even brand new vehicles often arrive with dealer-induced swirls from improper washing and lot prep.
  • Automatic car washes create marring and holograms that dull paint and reduce gloss.
  • Florida sun reveals every defect — and destroys factory clear coat in 3–5 years on outdoor cars. Correction restores depth before coating locks it in.
  • Snowbird-owned classics from up north often arrive with decades of swirls that polish out beautifully — perfect prep for ceramic protection.
  • Without correction, ceramic coating locks in every existing defect. Correction first is non-negotiable.
